Friday Fall Book & Plant Preview Sale to feature music, dessert for Friends members
The Friends of the Homer Public Library would like to show its appreciation for all the 2009 Friends Members by enhancing its Fall Book & Plant Membership Preview Sale with music and dessert. The preview sale will be held Friday, Oct. 23 from 6-8 p.m.
All Friends of the Homer Library are invited to listen to jazz guitar music with Eric Fenger and sample an assortment of desserts while getting first dibs on the hundred of Book & Plant Sale offerings.
Carey James, Friends coordinator, said she hopes Friends members take advantage of the opportunity to look through the book sale offerings at a leisurely pace. As always, the donation room is stocked with a wide variety of literary offerings. There’s sure to be something for everyone, and at $1 or less a book, the price is right, too.
“This is our way of saying, ‘Thank you,’ to all the wonderful people who have become members of the Friends of the Homer Library this year,” said James. “The library will face tough financial decisions in the coming year, and we are grateful for our Friends now more than ever.”
